Choosing

BrightLocal or Loadout.

Stay with BrightLocal if

  • You manage many locations and need the same numbers every month. BrightLocal's plans and reports are built around a location count and a refresh schedule.
  • You need citations built and cleaned for you. Citation Builder is a service from $2 a citation, and there is nothing like it here.
  • Your clients expect somewhere to log in. BrightLocal has location dashboards and reports inside the platform, and Loadout has no client portal.

Look at Loadout if

  • You audit far more businesses than you manage. A local visibility audit is about 58 credits and a website teardown is 8, with no location added to a bill.
  • You want one subscription to find the client as well as serve them. The client finder power returns 50 businesses with 20 verified owner emails for about 202 credits.
  • You already work in ChatGPT or Claude all day. Loadout plugs in as a connector, so the audit lands in the chat you were already in.

Questions

Before you run it.

What does BrightLocal cost right now+

Read from their pricing page on 1 Nov 2026. For one location, Track is $41 a month billed monthly or $369 a year, Manage is $54 a month or $485 a year, and Grow is $65 a month or $584 a year. Prices rise with each band of locations, up to 100 locations, and above that it is price on request. Citation Builder is pay as you go from $2 a citation.

Does Loadout replace a rank tracker+

No. There is no scheduled tracking and no dated rank history here. You run a local visibility audit on demand, about 58 credits for two keywords on a 7 by 7 grid, and rerun it when you want to compare.

Can I put my own brand on the reports+

Yes. Everything Loadout makes is yours to use, and the audits and reports go out under your brand, with your name, logo and colour on the page. There is no portal for clients to log into, so you send them the page, and on the paid plan it can sit on a domain of yours.

What does BrightLocal have that Loadout does not+

Three things that matter. Scheduled location dashboards with month on month history, a place for clients to log in, and the Citation Builder service that builds listings for you from $2 a citation.
